CREATE MENTAL SPACE

“By training in meditation, we create an inner space and clarity that enables us to control our mind regardless of the external circumstance. Gradually we develop mental equilibrium, a balanced mind that is happy all the time.”

Tapping Into the Source of Happiness

The Buddhist Master Shantideva says that although we wish so much to be happy, we destroy our own happiness, like a foe! Have you ever felt that way? No matter what you try, it all seems to go wrong? In this series we will explore and reflect quietly on the real sources of happiness. Buddha taught many simple and effective meditations that allow us to get in touch with the pure potential, clarity and peace of our own mind. When we practice these meditations, we gradually gain mental equilibrium, greater love, greater compassion and a deep inner sense of contentment and clarity.

"Once we are free from our self-cherishing, we do not lose our wish to be happy, but we find that real happiness is to be found in benefiting others. We have discovered an inexhaustible fountain of happiness within our own mind - our love for others."

- Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche

Everyone Welcome.

These teachings will be based on the book "How to Transform Your Life: A Blissful Journey" by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.  It is available as a free ebook or you can purchase a hard copy in our bookstore.
