CREATE MENTAL SPACE

“By training in meditation, we create an inner space and clarity that enables us to control our mind regardless of the external circumstance. Gradually we develop mental equilibrium, a balanced mind that is happy all the time.”

- Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso

Understanding What Creates Mental Peace

Buddha taught about eleven virtuous mental factors or parts of the mind. Any time they are present in our mind we can know that our actions will be beneficial. If a spoonful of sugar is stirred into a cup of tea, all the tea becomes sweet because sugar is by nature sweet. Similarily, when any one of the eleven virtuous mental factors is present in the mind, that entire mind becomes virtuous. In this series we'll learn about eight of these, understand their benefits and think about how they can help us maintain peace and harmony in our life.

Everyone Welcome.

Please note, these classes are held in Collingswood, NJ.
