Kadampa Meditation Center Philadelphia (KMC PHL) opened on October 25, 1997 in a tiny space on Iseminger Street near 13th & Pine. For over 25 years the center has provided classes, retreats, day courses and special events to bring ancient Buddhist wisdom to modern people through the kindness of our Founder, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.

 

KMC Philadelphia now resides at 47 N. 2nd Street in Old City Philadelphia where we have a large modern space designed for meditation, along with a lounge and a bookstore/gift shop. KMC Philadelphia offers a place where anyone can cultivate peace and happiness, from the inside out. Everyone is welcome.
